Stephenie Meyer wrote Twilight from a dream she had in the early summer of 2003. Her dream was vivid and expressional, and what had been a dry spell in her writing suddenly turned to a rush of the senses. The first book of the series was published in 2005, and three others soon followed. The making of the movie and the printing of the trading card series is but icing on top of her cake. Meyer graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in English and a life long love for literature, such as Shakespeare, Austen, Bronte, and Card. Meyer currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and three kids. She will continue to write and has received several Book Awards for her writings.

The trading cards are about as classy as you can get, glossy and artistically enhanced to match the ambiance of the story. The trading cards were officially on sale on November 26th of 208, just a few days after the release of the movie by Summit Entertainment. The trading cards include scenes from the movie and simple character cards. The base set of Twilight trading cards includes 72 cards and several boons for collectors. The trading card set includes randomly inserted bonus cards. Here’s what you can find that is extra special in the Twilight trading cards. The Twilight bonus card inserts include a series of card puzzles labeled “Always.” These cards are completed when you have nine total, each card inserted in one out of every eleven packs. Additionally, the Twilight bonus set includes “Different” and “In Pursuit” collector cards. The first has six bonus cards to compete the collection. There is only one of these cards in every seventeen packs. The latter, on the other hand, is only three cards but is distributed in every twenty-three packs. Last but not least is the “Protector” card. This is one card, shipped once in every shipping case. The chances of getting this card are rare indeed.
